DSP Percussion Music
These percussion exercise packets were used in the 2010 Dark Sky Percussion audition process to help us evaluate potential members' musical capabilities. In the exercise packets, you'll find a range of music with different difficulty levels designed to test your technical abilities, your musicality, and on some of the "easier" exercises, your ability to keep time.
Each section's music packet contains instructions for how we would like you to practice the materials, if you're intending to audition. While the exercises will be different for the 2011 auditions, the concepts we want you to understand will be the same. Each section's music packet sells for $10, except for the cymbal packet which sells for $5, and if you'd like to get last year's audition materials for the entire battery, you can choose the Full Battery Music packet for $15, which includes the snare drum, bass drum, and tenor drums musical exercises from 2010.
